Tips & Tricks

Ribbon Scraps

I'm not really sure if this would qualify as a tip or trick, but I guess that it might.  I was just reading a designer gallary article about ribbons and how wonderfully useful they are.  As soon as I read this, I thought of all my ribbons.  I'm a very cost consice gal.  One of my favorite things to do is go to Walmart.  Most WalMarts have a fabric section.  The neat thing about this is that they usually have a clearance area in this section, too!  Since they sell a lot of their ribbons per cut, they tend to have a little left over at the end of the roll.  When this happens, they mark it down and put it in the clearance section.  It's always a great place to look when you need some short little peices.  I tend to look there everytime I go into the store.  That way I can stock up on all kinds of fun ribbon.  the pieces are usually between 2 and 12 inches long and I have found that they generally run around the 30 cent pricetag.  It's a great and savey way to add to your stock!!!
