Spotlights on Leah and Céline

Two more fabulous Contributing Design Team members are in the spotlight today! First is Leah Farquharson who made this beautiful 'save the date' for her upcoming brother-in-law's wedding:

Save the Date by Leah Farquharson
Supplies: Hyacinth Paper (35051) – I Do, Roses Paper (35032) – I Do, Peonies Paper (35035) – I Do, 12x12 Damask Cardstock White (71158) - AC Cardstock, Chiffon (78027) - Details, Tulle (43371) - MiniMarks, Champagne (42700) - Remarks

Leah says about her project, "Recently, my husband’s brother got engaged to a really great girl – I’m looking forward to having her as a sister-in-law! After they got engaged, one of the first things they did was come to me to help them start out with the planning. I found that she was already really well prepared, so I pretty much have just been consulting with her regularly to help out. One of the things we are working on together is their invitations. Of course the first step along the way these days is a 'save the date' – and while this isn’t the design that they’ll be going with (they decided on a great photo postcard option), this was inspired by several things I found in my searching for ideas!"

Here are some things I bet you didn't known about Leah:

Hometown: Lauderhill, FL
Occupation: wife/mommy/general "Martha" of our home. On any given day you'll find me with a hammer, a spatula, or needle and thread in my hands.
I love my family because...they keep me grounded.
My dream job would be...designing/crafting/writing for a living.
The best thing about where I live is...the beach and the cultural diversity.
When I was little...I loved being outdoors, making mudpies, and riding my dirt bike.
Next year...I'll have my own craftsy business!
What I love most about American Crafts is...the bright colors, variety of textures, and modern patterns.

We'd also like to spotlight Céline Navarro and she made this beautiful layout about four girls in London to accompany her spotlight:

4 Girls in London by Céline Navarro
Supplies: Dahlias Paper (35044) - I Do; Firefly Festival Paper (35085) - Dear Lizzy; Golden Gleam Paper (35090) - Dear Lizzy; Butter Rose (58180) - Ribbon; Delight Blue (53072) - Thickers; Beauty (70035) - Flair; Veggies (42546) - Remarks

Céline shares, "I just got back from London a couple of weeks ago and I just loved the  time I got to spend with my three girlfriends :) I wanted to celebrate our friendship and our fabulous time together. When I pick a photo I want to use on a layout, I try to look at the colors in order to see what kind of papers I'm going to use. This time, I couldn't ignore this beautiful photo taken in Notting Hill, where you can see cute pink, blue, yellow houses, and I then picked the right papers to go along with the colors. Try to pick a darker paper for the background, in order to make the colors pop."

Here are some fun facts about Céline:

Hometown: Montpellier, France
Occupation: Full time scrapbook teacher
If I could live anywhere...
I'd live in South America or Asia, between Singapore and Bali :)
My favorite thing to do on the weekend...go to the beach or read on my sofa.
I find inspiration from...music, esp. the Arctic Monkeys.
My favorite kind of music...See above!
What I love most about American Crafts is...the quality of their products, their diversity, and that they have LOOOOTS of cool products to work with!

Thanks for letting us get to know you a bit better Leah and Céline!
