Hi everyone. My name is Vicki Chrisman and I live in Nebraska with my husband and our two pups. We have two grown sons, who we are lucky enough to have living here in Nebraska also. I love the holidays and am happy to have them in full swing now. I'm enjoying all the decorating and baking that December brings and looking forward to spending the Holidays with family and friends. Wishing all of you a wonderful Holiday Season also!
Q: What is the most unique topic/photos that you have scrapbooked?
A: Well, I'm not sure about most unique..but this layout is definitely the most unusual that I've done of "myself." Not only is the photo pretty silly, on top of that I'm admitting my "age" (yikes), and how I'm dealing with creeping ever closer to 50.
Q: Share something quirky about yourself.
A: I'm sure I have plenty of quirks, but the one that seems to surprise people the most, is that although I love many different kinds of music...I love Rock, and I like it loud! lol! (Maybe that comes from being a teenager in the 70s??) I'll be the one in the nursing home with head phones on. lol!
Q: Where do you find inspiration?
A: I find inspiration in so many different things. I believe artistic inspiration is all around us, we just have to look. Color, textures, patterns, and designs in our everyday lives are totally inspiring. Nature, TV ads, fabrics, home decor, etc. all influence me - whether I realize it or not at that moment.
Q: How long have you been scrapbooking?
A: I have been scrapbooking in some form for probably 17 years now. I started by just cutting paper, cards, photos, and paper keepsakes of our boys when they were little, and gluing them into books. Not really knowing about using acid free products or actual "scrapbooking supplies" yet, I was just enjoying the process. I quickly became aware of the plethora of scrapbook products hitting the market, and jumped in head first. lol!
I come from a large, close knit family, and have always incorporated art into my life in one way or another, for as long as I can remember, so the mix of preserving family memories with art, was the perfect mix for me. I was hooked.
Q: What type of camera do you use?
A: I use a Canon Rebel XTi, but for a smaller camera to carry in my purse at all times, I use my Canon Power Shot SD 1300. I also love my older camera, that has been so good to me. Its an Olympus C-740 Ultra Zoom.
