Let my introduce myself by a french game named " Portrait chinois" literally "Chinese portrait" created by Marcel Proust. It's a game in which people have to describe themself in this way :
If I were an animal, I'd be ... lioness
If I were a flower, I'd be white rose
If I were a color, I'd be red for my clothes and pink, yellow and turquoise for my scrap.
If I were an icecream I'd be vanilla
If I were an hour I'd be tea time
If I were a parfum I'd be Allure sensuelle from Chanel
If I were an international scrapbookeur I'd be Maggie Holmes !! :)
If I were a saison I'd be summer...
Q: What is your favorite Fancy Pants product?
A: I really love using Rub-ons because they accurately give the final touch to my creations thanks to their motifs. I'm also very fond of brads which I gather in small groups on my layouts, and of frame stickers as well, that enable to break the lines that appear to me as too straight.
Q: What is your favorite technique?
A: I like creating my own backgrounds thanks to various inks and paint. I also very often add up a bit of texture and material. Moreover, my journaling is handwritten because I think it gives a more personal touch to my projects.
Q: How long have you been scrapbooking?
A: I've been scrapbooking since 2007. At that time, I was looking for ideas on the internet to create something original to announce the birth of my daughter (this is a tradition in France ; we send out a kind of "baby announcement card" to our relatives once the baby's born). While I was doing my research, I hit on a scrapbooking blog that really seduced me. It took a few months before I created my very first layout, but from then on, everything went very fast. I started to take a lot of photos, I really enjoy it, and I rapidly developped a genuine passion for scrapbooking.
Q: Where do you find inspiration?
A: I find most of my inspiration on the blogs of French girls like my friend Gaelle, or Lilith, Severine les elucubrations, Melle Severine, Pati, Michou... and I love Polish scrapbookers such as Ana Maria, Nulka.... I also surf the internet websites of the great American brands and I'm totally amazed by the talent of American scrapbookers (amongst which are some members of this DT!).
Q: What do you listen to or watch while scrapbooking?
A: I look at my garden through the window and I listen to ... the silence! My two daughters often sleep while I'm working on my projects because I do it on nap's time or in the evening.
Q: What type of camera do you use?
A: A reflex 1000D Canon.
Q: What are some other hobbies you enjoy?
A: I used to read a lot, but not anymore except for scrapbooking, gardening or interior design magazines!
