Ce´line says, "Christmas is just a couple of days away and we're almost done with our cards, gift shopping, and tree decorating. But have you sat down and thought about the things you want from Santa? We've been thinking about our kids, but what about us? Let's make a layout just for you, about what you're asking for for Christmas :) For this layout, I played with the Dear Lizzy Christmas line. I just love the subtle and sweet colors of this paper line. I applied gesso on my background paper, in order to get a white wash that reminds me of snow. Then, to add colors and texture, I simply added Mixtape on top and at the bottom of my photo. These pretty Mixtapes are a bit like paper and ribbon at the same time. The great thing is that they are sticky! I just love how versatile they are!"
Supplies: Mountain Park Paper (25231) - City Park, Lakeside Park Paper (35224) - City Park, Hyde Park Paper (25238) - City Park, Long Decorative Tags (77245) - Bits, Slide (72004) - Delights, City Park Assorted Brads (85517) - Elements, Decorative Tape (61733) - Mixtaoe, Bliss Coffee (53030) - Thickers
Michelle says, "Although the City Park line is a fun Spring line, I chose only papers that would support my fall-themed layout. I love when I can use a paper line for more than what it is intended for, it's just a matter of taking a different look at what you have. Also, here's a quick tip when using the Mixtape: the tape is awesome because you can easily move it until you get it to your liking. After I placed it on the right side of my layout I noticed that it was not showing up like I wanted because it was placed over dark paper. So I simply layered another piece on top. It is so easy to make it line up so that it looks like one single piece. Try it!"
Thanks for the tips and tricks! Mixtape really is a wonderful and versatile product!
