Hi, my name is Trish Harwick and I am so happy to be a part of the Fancy Pants Team! When I am not scrapping, I am a full-time Mom of 4 great kids, an Army Apache pilot spouse and a full-time Speech Pathologist. Scrapping has always played a big part in my life; being an Army spouse, we move quite a bit, scrapping has given me an outlet for my creativity and feelings and lots of portable friends!
Q: How long have you been scrapbooking?
A: My Mom claims that I have been scrapping since the day I learned to cut and paste; however, I really didn't start to become obsessed until the birth of my first daughter in 2000.
Q: What time of day do you usually scrapbook and where?
A: Being a full time working Mom of 4, my time is precious! I scrap whenever and wherever I can! I do a lot of "drive-by" scrapping; meaning that I pull something out, arrange something or stick something down as I am walking in and out of my scraproom; in between the "Mom, she's touching mes" and laundry!
Q: Where do you find inspiration?
A: I find inspiration everywhere ... from magazines, to textiles and clothing. I find a lot of inspiration in pattern and color. My kids often inspire me with the funny things they do or say.
Q: If someone was to walk into your scrap room/area right now, what would they find?
A: According to my husband, a big, huge mess! I prefer to call it "organized chaos", although I do currently have stacks of paper and a lot of "stuff" that needs to be put away! I even still have my crop bag packed from the trip I took this past summer!
Q: What are some other hobbies you enjoy?
A: Between work and the kids there isn't much time for other hobbies, besides scrapping, but I do enjoy baking - it is a huge stress reliever. I bake and then take it to work (the pudgier they get, the thinner I look, right?). I also enjoy harrassing the kids with my camera and I recently returned to my exercise routine.
