I know Christmas is over, but I couldn't help but be inspired by this beautiful tree created by Brenda Rose! The layered paper strips, buttons and glittery paint all make this tree gorgeous!

I decided to take my tree in a little different direction by using wintry colors and some snowflake patterned papers from the Tradition collection. This way the tree has more of a winter theme and I can enjoy it all winter long!
 


I decided to use fringe scissors on the ends of my paper strips for a little different look. I still curled them up a bit and added some glittery paint.
 


I really liked that Brenda added buttons to her tree. I layered some small buttons over snowflakes that I punched from the patterned papers and added them to the tree with pearl topped straight pins.
 


To keep with my wintry theme, rather than a star, I added a snowflake to the top of my tree over some layered buttons.
