Bits Cupcake Topper Tutorial with Jennifer Gallacher
Who doesn't love a yummy cupcake? Especially when they're topped with fun homemade creations! Jennifer Gallacher has a great tutorial for using Bits to make festive cupcake toppers - check it out:
Jennifer says, "I love the Bits embellishments. There are so many uses for these cute tags! I decided to create cupcake toppers for mini cupcakes. You can easily do this with the circular metal-rimmed tags, but I wanted to use the images in the Bits. By punching out the images from the tags, I created a darling flower center for my food picks. These came together quickly and easily!"
Supplies: Grosgrain (58106) – Ribbon, City Park Reinforced Decorative Tags (77244) – Bits, Swing (72003) – Delights; Other supplies: toothpicks, 1” circle punch, tape, cupcakes
And here's how you make 'em:
1. Use a 1” circle punch to punch out your favorite parts of the Bits tags.
2. Tape a toothpick to the back of some Delights.
3. Adhere the punched circles on the buttons of each Delight. This will give the punched circles a raised look. Add a knot of ribbon to each toothpick.
4. Place the toothpicks in cupcakes and serve.
Easy as pie - or rather - cupcakes :)
