Delights Tutorial

Pooi is going to show us in a step-by-step photo tutorial how to make this accordion mini album:

Pooi

Let's get started! First, gather your supplies:

1 Supplies: Cozumel Paper (35420) – Margarita,  Pina Colada (72013) – Delights,  Sun-Kissed (43391) - Minimarks, Woven Grosgrain 3/8” (58153) – Ribbon, Eyelets Medium Black (85476) – Elements, Other: Elastic Band, eyelet setter, scoring tool

Pooi says, "Delights paper flowers from American Crafts comes in a variety of colours and they are very easy to use. I love how I can add them to make my project ‘pop’ out and be really fun. I made this simple accordion booklet with the latest Margarita Delights (as shown in the picture above)."

Step 1 - Cut a 12 x 12” piece of patterned paper into 3 strips of 4 x 12”.

2
Step 2 - Score the strips of patterned paper at every 3”, so eventually the size is 3 x 4”.

3
Step 3 - Put some adhesive or glue to join the 3 strips of patterned paper together, end to end.

4

Step 4 - Fold in the first piece and stick it on the second piece to make the cover of the booklet. Do the same for the last page of the booklet.

5
Step 5 - Set an eyelet on the front cover and put the elastic band through the eyelet.

6

Step 6 - Decorate the front cover of the booklet with Delights and Minimarks. Use Delights to cover the eyelet hole. The elastic band can be used to fasten or hold the accordion booklet closed.

7
Step 7 - Open the booklet as shown and you can see that the eyelet with the elastic band is not very attractive. Cut a 4" piece of ribbon.

8
Step 8 - Glue the ribbon near the edge of the booklet over the eyelet. Decorate the rest of the pages with Delights.

9 And there you have it! A handmade mini album base complete with festive Delights embellishments just waiting for your fun pictures and journaling! Thanks Pooi!
