C is for...

Good morning, Peas!  We've taken a look at letters A and B - next is C, of course!  Let's dive right in!

We'd like you to think of this event as a library of resources, an index of inspirational stamped pieces and informative posts.  We've collected projects from the Garden Girls, your favorite brands and our special guests - each day you'll see something new from one or more of these artists, as well as exemplary projects we've collected by scouring the gallery, spotlighting how our members have applied these topics to past projects shared.  Be sure to scroll to the end of this post for a special challenge with a chance to win!

Today is the letter C - where C is for Copic, Colorbox and charms!

** Kristina has arranged for a special sale offering great prices on Copic and Colorbox to celebrate today's letter!  See the sale here and hurry - it's today only, ending at 11:59 pm CST!

Copic Markers

If you've scrolled through our message boards or perused our cardmaking and stamping galleries, chances are you've seen or read about Copics.  The Copic brand is fairly new to the Two Peas store; we just had to get their products in after having such a high demand for them.  What are they exactly?  Well, we'll let the people behind the company itself describe their product:

"Copic markers are the highest quality marker available anywhere.  Including 4 styles that are refillable and feature replaceable nibs, you never have to throw a marker away.  There are over 300 colors available and we guarantee our colors will always match."

Special guest and Certified Copic Designer Kathy has whipped up two elegant and colorful cards for us today using Copics:

Notice the highlights on the flowers? They really make the centers pop!  She did a beautiful coloring job and has shared a tutorial with her helpful hints on her blog.

Don't miss these other projects using Copics we found in the gallery:

Projects using Copics

1. Christmas tags  2.  Christmas Boxes  3.  Happy Mom's Day  4.  Hip Hip Hooray  5.  Thanks a Latte

6.  Fishy Friends  7.  Hello Friend  8.  Birthday Foxes

If you are new to Copics, you may feel a little overwhelmed when seeing we carry over 1,000 Copic products in the Two Peas store to look at and choose from; we thought we'd give you some helpful links on how to get started using these products.  We hope this helps!

1.  A product guide from Copic covering each style of marker

2.  A second product guide from Copic covering other products in their line - accessories, airbrush system, etc

3.  Our past blog post with more samples, links to tutorials and videos

Another brand not to miss in the Two Peas store is Colorbox!  Their inks and sprays are a staple in the personal inventory of many stampers, many of their inks coming in color sets that easily stack.  Here are a handful of projects we found using Colorbox:

1. You Mean the World to Me  2.  You Make My Heart Happy  3.  Thank You  4.  You're the Best

5.  Thank You  6.  Hello Girlfriend  7.  Snowman Card  8.  I'm Here for You  9.  Boo

An easy embellishment that can add volumes of character to our stamped projects is charms.  You'll find them in a variety of materials like metal, acrylic and hard plastic.  Many of them can be altered by punching a hole with a tool like Tim Holtz Drill Punch and letting them dangle from ribbon, chains, and more.  Here are a few examples of how charms can add the perfect touch to our cards:

That completes today's post for the letter C.  We want to see how today's post inspired you with a special challenge!  Just use one or more of today's themes in a project and upload it by next Sunday the 16th at 11:59 pm CST.  We will select three winner's from this week's batch of challenges - each challenge winner will receive a prize pack of goodies from our generous sponsors, including a prize from Penny Black - the brand and sponsor Kathy used in today's cards!  We will announce the challenge winners in next Monday's post.

Join us tomorrow as we cover the letter "D!"
