H is for...

H is for...

Welcome to a new week and a new day in our series, Stampers!  Let's begin with the letter H!

We'd like you to think of this event as a library of resources, an index of inspirational stamped pieces and informative posts.  We've collected projects from the Garden Girls, your favorite brands and our special guests - each day you'll see something new from one or more of these artists, as well as exemplary projects we've collected by scouring the gallery, spotlighting how our members have applied these topics to past projects shared.  Be sure to scroll to the end of this post for a special challenge with a chance to win!

Today is the letter H - where H is for Hero Arts and heat embossing!

** Kristina has arranged for a 25% off sale on Hero Arts to celebrate today's letter!  See the sale here and hurry - it's today only, ending at 11:59 pm CST!

Hero Arts

We'll start with a brand you will most likely recognize - Hero Arts!  This brand is known for their high-quality products - and we carry almost 1,000 of them, including digital stamps!  Garden Girl and Hero Arts Design Team member took on the assignment of creating a stamped project for you using Hero Arts:

Boo! by Kandis Smith

The music stamp makes a great foundation for her card and could easily be translated to different themes!

Here are some other projects we found using Hero Arts in the gallery:

Projects Using Hero Arts

1.  Hello Friend  2.  Life is Better When You Laugh a Little  3.  Happy Haunting  4.  Thank You

5.  Shades of Autumn  6.  Kraft Thank You  7.  Flying Around in Circles  8.  Christmas Card Set  9.  Home for the Holidays

H is for Heat Embossing

Our next topic?  Heat embossing!  For those of you just starting in stamping and unfamiliar with this technique, it's a fun way to jazz up your projects!  Simple stamp your image (we recommend a pigment ink), pour embossing powder over the image while the ink is still wet, shake off the excess and then apply heat to your image with a special heat gun.  You'll see the image transform into a raised and shiny surface - giving a great sense of texture to your card!

Here are a few projects we spied in the gallery using this technique - just search "heat embossing" and you will find lots to look at in the gallery!

Projects Using Heat Embossing

1.  Fern Christmas Tree  2.  Hello There  3.  Wedding Wishes  4.  Stamped Ornament 5.  Hello Butterfly

6.  Stampendous Christmas  7.  Utee Flowers  8.  Much Appreciated  9.  Layered Birthday Card

That concludes today's A to Z post - we hope you enjoyed it!  We want to see how today's post inspired you with a special challenge!  Just use one or more of today's themes in a project and upload it by next Sunday the 23rd at 11:59 pm CST.  We will select three winner's from this week's batch of challenges - each challenge winner will receive a prize pack of goodies from our generous sponsors this week, including today's brand - Hero Arts!  We will announce the challenge winners in next Monday's post.

Join us tomorrow as we cover the letter "I!"
