I'm Grateful For Week Guest Designer: Stephanie Howell
I'm excited to introduce the Guest Designer of the Week: Stephanie Howell! She created a bunch of lovely "I'm Grateful For" themed layouts, a card, and mini album. Keep scrolling down to see it all!
Stephanie designs for Studio Calico and Jenni Bowlin Studio. She lives in Savannah and is married to Jimmy, her handsome soldier. She is also a stay-at-home mom to Harper Elizabeth (5 yrs), Sadie Caroline (3 yrs), and twin baby girls, Lucy Claire and Catherine (Cate) Bennett (11months). In her spare time she loves antiquing, reading, and watching reality tv (her dirty little secret). She dreams of learning to sew, embroider, knit, quilt, and cook (well). But most of all, she loves just being together as a family, and she relishes those moments… as they are few and far between.
How did you get started scrapbooking? A friend of mine was a Close To My Heart consultant. She invited me to one of her parties and I was HOOKED!
What is your favorite American Crafts product? My all time favorite AC product is Lullaby Thickers in Sunflower. PLEASE bring these back AC!!!
I wanted to do a layout where I listed all the things that make me grateful for my daughter, Harper. The paper flowers were the perfect accents for the bright, happy photos. I also love using Amy Tangerine products on my layouts because they are so feminine. The silhouette and classic custard font were just what I needed for the title.

Gratitude Album by Stephanie Howell
I have always wanted to do a gratitude daily album in the month of November. With my twins turning one on Thanksgiving and my husband home from a deployment, I decided this was the year. My heart has never been so thankful or so full and I want to document it. Right now the album is pretty bare bones. I added dates to each page and added some pages here and there. The eclectic feel of the Amy Tangerine album really made this project fun. I didn't have to "do" much. I added stickers, chalkboard labels, and a few embellishments. I plan to add more as I am working on the album and as I add photos and journaling, so follow my progress at stephaniehowell.com!

Gobble Card by Stephanie Howell
Okay. Go easy on me. I am NOT a card maker. Not by any stretch of the imagination. Anyone that knows me knows that cards are not my forte. I love to receive them, but making them gives me hives. I decided that I was going to have FUN with this card, dang it! I really wanted to use the paper leaves and Patchem as turkey feathers so I decided to make a paper pieced turkey. No, he does not have feet. Just imagine that this is a waist up only turkey. Hahaha! I cut the body and nose from patterned paper and the uhhhhh waddle?!?! Is cut from a sticker in the Garden Cafe Remarks Book (a strawberry). The eyes are the dots from a sheet of Thickers. I let the perfectionism go. I had fun. And honestly? I kinda love this. Gobble. :)

Thank You by Stephanie Howell
I have been holding on to this instagram photo for months. It was taken when my husband came back from Afghanistan and it makes my heart so happy. I thought that the phrases in the Amy Tangerine Remarks sticker book were perfect to record this moment. The six leaves on the tree symbolize the six of us being back together and our family tree being complete.
