Hi Peas! Welcome to the final week of our Holiday Card Making series. Today is all about using punches! Before we begin, don't forget about our Cyber Monday sale - it's the last day for 20% off regular products + we've got a free shipping deal for you!
Now, what better way to start off our topic on holiday punches than to look at this brand new card from Garden Girl Jenny Chesnick!?
We love the way she's layered so many pieces, and she's managed to make a more playful, cutesy line from Echo Park elegant as well! The punched border at the bottom of her focal point is the cherry on top of this cheerful greeting.
From Jen, "I used new Echo Park Holly Jolly for this Holiday card. I like to add a little dimension to my cards so I layered a large snowflake under the chipboard pieces. I tied the ornament with a bow of twine to give the illusion that it was hanging on the card. Lastly I used a snowflake punch a long the bottom!"
Do you have a collection of punches, but need some inspiration for how to put them to use? Here is a collection of ideas we've gathered from the member gallery!

4. Tis the Season 5. Peace & Love 6. Merry Christmas
Punches are a great tool to have in your stash of supplies in that not only are they fun to use, but they are "non-perishable" products, meaning unlike paper and embellishments, you can use them over and over! We encourage you to stretch your use of punches - try a couple holiday cards using the same punch and see what different kinds of looks you can create, or challenge yourself to use a punch in a different way than you've done before.
Perhaps you are wanting to start or add to your collection of punches. Here is a small taste of the holiday punches we have in the store!
1. Under the Tree Squeeze Punch 2. Bangle Chain 3. Tree and Present Garland Punch 4. Bangle Chain 5. Stars Garland
6. Large Himalayan Snowflake 7. Patterned Circles Edge Punch 8. Nordic Snowflake All Over Punch 9. Pine Needles Edge Punch
Whether it be a simple corner rounder or circle, or a detailed border punch by Martha Stewart, punches add so much detail and delight to our holiday cards. We hope you enjoyed today's topic! We'll see you tomorrow!
