I love decorationg for Christmas. The tree, the stockings, wreaths, garlands and twinkle lights. Decorating is the best. Especially when decorating with handmade decor. This week, the Pocket Chicks have some great holiday decor ideas, using our Saint Nick Filter Embellishments. Take a look. These projects are sure to set the stage for a warm and inviting season.
Christmas Stocking by Vicki Chrisman
Vicki says, "I love Fancy Pants Filter embellishments, and I love Decorating for Christmas, so I couldn't wait to create something new with them for the holiday season. I was actually inspired to create this funky stocking, as I was looking at the Saint Nick cards patterned paper. I think the stockings on the 'Stockings were hung' card from the paper are so fun! I used the filter embellishments to create a pom pom for the tip of the stocking, and also for the heel of my stocking. Let the decorating begin!"
Wreath by Greta Hammond
Greta says, “This time of year is always crazy so I am all about some quick and easy projects to help bring in the holiday spirit! I used the Saint Nick filter embellishments to create some simple flowers to decorate this twig wreath. I used several of the filters for each flower to make them a little more substantial and also add some buttons to the center. I attached them with wire to the wreath and then added a few quick embellishments to finish it off. Easy peasy!”
Christmas Star by Guiseppa Gubler
Guiseppa explains, "What I love about the Filter Embellishment Papers, is how versatile they are. I have loved using mine on my projects. This time I wanted to do something a little different, so I made this Christmas Star (you can find directions on how to make this here) and added Saint Nick Filter Embellishment Paper to the middle, creating a flower center. I made these fun looking flowers by simply folding my larger filter into thirds and then folding the middle size into thirds as well as the smallest size. The two smallest filters made for a pretty little flower center. I made three of these flowers and attached them together to make one big flower for the center of my Christmas Star. Now I have something new and pretty to hang in my house for Christmas."
