FP + Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog Hop: Creative Cards

FP+3LBlogHopBanner
Welcome to the Fancy Pants Designs + 3L Blog Hop!

Adhesives are such a basic necessity for paper crafters. But what about taking those basic adhesives and turning them into something worthy of being front and center on a project?

I have a quick tutorial for you today on creating your own glitter papers like I did for this colorful birthday card.
Glitter-Plaid-Birthday

I used 3L’s Crafty Power Tape to give the plaid paper from the Summer Soul collection a little WOW factor!

Let me show you a few step-by-step photos.  It’s really very simple!

I started by adhering the Crafty Power Tape along all of the horizontal pink stripes in the paper.

I peeled away the top layer from the tape and sprinkled it with pink glitter.  Then just shake off the excess and you’ll have glittery pink stripes!

I proceeded to do the same thing with the green stripes, placing the Power Tape over each one.

Sprinkle green glitter and shake off excess!

So fun a sparkly! A simple way to dress up an already pretty piece of patterned paper. Here’s another card I created using the same technique, this time with the plaid paper from Wave Searcher to create a baby boy card.

I used a mix of Fancy Pants collections here … the paper is from Wave Searcher, the airplane and bicycle are from Childish Things and the chalkboard label is from the Off to School collection. I love mixing and matching things!

It's the little things cards
Here is what Vicki had to say about 3L products!
"I chose to use It's the Little Things line with my Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Adhesives to create a little card trio. I loved being able to add dimension to the elements on my cards by using 3D foam squares. They also work great for adhearing my buttons. I used MyStik Permanent Strips Dispenser for my general adhesive for these cards, and Crafty Power Tape for the borders and narrow strips." -Vicki

Thanks for stopping by and a BIG thank you to 3L for supplying the adhesives for today’s projects!
