Hello everyone! My name is Shelley Haganman and I love
"junking" and scrapbooking! Antique and consignment stores are such
great places to find unique items that you can transform into real
treasures. Today I am going to share with you a project combining both of my
favorite hobbies Recently I found this gorgeous vintage film holder that
I immediately saw as a place to store a mini album:
I knew I
wanted to include as many instagram photos that I took on our most recent
Summer vacation, so making a mini accordian album was just the answer! And how
cute would it look all tucked into this vintage piece?! I measured the inside
of the film holder, which would house my mini album, and got to work cutting
and assembling the base of my album.
Since I had so many pictures that I wanted
to include, I designed my accordian album to expand up and down giving me
plenty of space to fit all my photos. Now that the base of my album assembled
it was time to add photos and embellishments. Once the album was finished to my
liking, I merely folded it back into place and kept it snug inside the film
holder using some baker's twine.
Finally, I decorated the cover and added a
flair button with a magnet since the cover was metal and my project was
complete. I love that I can set it on a table or a desk and pop it open and
relive the incredible time we had on our vacation.
I hope this has inspired you to create a treasure out of something
out of the ordinary. To make something old new again with your creative hand.
Thanks so much for being our guest and for sharing your amazing album, Shelley. You can find more inspiration from Shelley on her scrapbooking and photography blogs, as well as her Two Peas gallery!
