Hi everyone - it's Tara (TaraMcK) from the Two Peas Digital Creative Team.
Today I'm going to share with all of you my first ever glimpse into my Project Life album. I've been doing Project Life for the past three years now. I am forever behind, but that's ok. It's ok because well, I'm busy living our life. I like the ease of printing a few weeks and sitting down and putting my photos in and journaling and moving forward.
I used to get caught up in how fancy everyone's project life was. I am inspired by so many people who do this project, so many that it became overwhelming and I stopped. Then I realized that's not the purpose of this type of project and now I do it as I can when I can and as simple or as fancy as I want.
My other problem was my images. I always have too many. Some days I have iPhone only images, others I have 200 from my DSLR, and then there are those days when I have nothing. That's ok. Its what our life looked like and I don't worry about daily photos. I like going through choosing my favourites and I will have leftovers everytime. To me this is our photo album with all sorts of extra goodies. I like have extra images on hand for my boys individual albums which are a hybrid of Project Life, Digital and Paper scrapping.
I love this project, all of it. Being behind and all.
My layout I am sharing is from the last week in September and I had the pleasure of working with Hello Forever's Happy Fall.
Digital Printables are fantastic to use. With Marcy's Kit you not only get each journal card but a PDF of them all together to print in one easy step. Print, cut, journal, pop them in and done. Easy.
Lets begin - I'm often on the floor spreading all my images out with page protectors. I love seeing it as a whole.
Once I have my basic layout I move to a table - since I don't have a dedicated scrap space I like to do this in our family room/kitchen because I have lots of room. I have a cabinet upstairs filled with all things project life and I keep my product very portable.
Here is a look at my base layout, I have an insert from the apple orchard I'm including as well.
Here is a closer look at the left page. The Hello card is also from Hello Forever. These cards are so versatile for everyone's project life and so simple to print out and use without having a photo editing program thanks to the handy PDFs.
Here I've added the insert using design H page using more of the printable cards.
A closer look at some of the other cards used.
And the final spread.
I hope you enjoyed the peak into my project life. Digital printables are an easy simple way to change up what you're using in your kit. Marcy's are fabulous to use! I would love to see what you do with these great printables!
