Layouts On Wednesdays
It's been quite a while since we've had a free-for-all layout sharing day. We have a fun mix of layouts from our layout designers to share with you. Look closely and you'll see some creative uses of our new collections (which will be shipping out VERY SOON!). I love seeing designers use themed collections for everyday layouts, as it shows just how versatile our products can be.
“Big Boy Sand Toy”, by Katherine McElvain.
When creating a scrapbook layout I find it fun to use paper and products from a specifically themed collection for a completely different reason than what it was intended. That was the case for this layout. Who would have guessed that many of the patterns of this layout were intended for engagement and wedding themed projects. Even the green arrow and the phrase "Its gonna be awesome" comes from the Engaged at Last Boarders Paper. I also liked how the black lined paper coordinated with this driving page with the lines mimicking those on a road instead of lined paper. And the neutral colors of some of the papers from Love and Marriage and Engaged at Last pair wonderfully with the elements from the Sand and Surf line that gave the project a pop of color.

"Cute Brothers", by Yohko Takiguchi.
I wanted to use the photos that my sons were playing tag. The Birthday Boy collection is perfect for boys not only the birthday. I started with the Streamers as my background paper. I then choose orange, green and blue items and added the little cute frog chipboard.

“The Art of Play Doh”, by Megan Klauer.
I wanted to show how versatile the new lines are. Even if you don't have a wedding in your plans this year, the color combinations and designs can be used for everyday activities such as playing with a mess of Play Doh. The Stars & Hearts Chipboard pieces continue to be some of my favorites to use.

“I Belong With You”, by Jennifer Chapin.
My newest favorite song is "Ho Hey" by the Lumineers. It's been stuck in my head for weeks and I thought it would be a perfect title for a layout about my husband and me. I used the Sienna chipboard alphabet to make a bold title on the right side of my page. Try using one of your favorite songs as a starting point for your next page - it's a great way to come up with new inspiration!

"So Proud”, by Leanne Allinson.
My daughter has recently graduated from Primary School and is now, in 2013, about to start High School. I wanted to document this moment as a celebration even though she is unsure of this next phase. The colors and patterns I've chosen from the Bella collections, still have a little girl feel to them but with a sophisticated twist. The photo placement, journaling and embellishments have also been bordered by paper strips to represent a road for her up-coming journey.
