We've had rain, rain and more rain this week at Two Peas headquarters. Our focus on orange and yellow this week has brightened things up for us (you may have noticed these sunny hues in our newsletter, Instagram feed and Pinterest board). Here's a look at how the Garden Girls have been scrapping with them:
Marcy pulled a variety of pieces together like labels, buttons, patterned papers, clips and brads to record her son's favorite color. A neutral background keeps the concentration of color from being too overpowering.
Jen creates a warm and inviting page by using a variety of oranged like tangerines and golds. Notice she even layers color onto color ... a golden butterfly is embellishmed with a button strung with twine.
Lilith creates a magical background with layers of ink and gesso. She's reinforced the mood of her page by using words like "happy", "my fave", "amazing" and "my sunshine."
A no-fail color pairing? Grey and yellow. Laura's layout here is proof that this will work every time. Also, you'll see she's piled on the patterns here. By keeping to one color scheme, you can get away with using multiple patterns without overwhelming the viewer.
