Our theme in the Garden this month is All About Me. We've asked the Garden Girls to share a little more on this topic. Here is Marcy Penner!
Our theme this month is All About Me. How do you make sure to get yourself in a photo? What is a recent favorite photo that includes you? I love my iPhone. I'm not at all proficient about taking selfies, but I try to get myself in photos in other ways… like a shot of me holding my morning hot chocolate, or things that represent me and my day… it doesn't have to be a picture of "me". That said, sometimes I actually manage to find one that I like, like this one…
Do you struggle with scrapbooking about yourself? If so, how do you overcome it? I do. I just have to get over the fact that I do NOT like being on the other side of the camera. And if I just can't find a picture that I like I can still document me with some other photo. My story's important.
What products feel like "you" that you reach for when scrapping yourself? I always gravitate towards pale colours and white. I used to feel guilty that I wasn't using all these bright coloured products. But I've learned to embrace it… that's it's okay. So I grab embellishments like washi, tags, and labels, my pale coloured papers and I'm off. Here's some of my current favourites.
1, 2, 3, 4 & 5
How have you scrapbooked yourself in the past? I love using bullet points when I scrapbook about myself. I'm a list girl for sure. Qualities about me and things I like… that kind of thing. No epic stories. My focus is my life and my family… but I do want to make sure I get a bit of me in there as well. ;)
