Fall Skies

I'm not sure why it is; some condition in the position of the earth to the sun? Or maybe it is the juxtaposition of the brightly coloured leaves against the sky, but sunny day fall skies always seem to be the most intense blue of any all year. It's almost as if we are getting a real overload of that colour before we enter the flat grey skies of late fall and winter.

I think you are right, we get extra blue now to last us through the winter. We had very blue skies here yesterday too.

Beautiful blue skies! And I love that you used the word "juxtaposition." It is one of my favorites!

My 'poppy' used to call that sky color 'Dutchman's Britches'. Beautiful photos!
