I've been suffering from a case of the February grey-blahs and finding it hard to get excited about photographing any subject that is within easy range. A friend suggested I watch a photo tutorial video and, as a result I decided to try one of the suggestions on the video, a trip to the kitchen to search for reflective surfaces.
The result is this photo and I'm actually quite happy with it. I like not just the reflective parts throwing back the colours at us but I also like the semi-transparency of the strainer letting the colours through in a slightly subdued tone.
As an added bonus, I'm pretty sure this activity is a lot more low cal, than my usual reasons for heading into the kitchen when I have the blahs.
