Once Upon a Time...

...about three years ago, I posted a thread on The Pub message board.

I posted about my experiences with my local children's hospital, Children's Hospital of Western Ontario in London, ON, Canada. I asked if there were any other scrappers out there, in Canada, that would like to join me in a fundraising event. I had 5 responses to that email. One came from Christine Campbell, one from Nicole Trudell, one from Trisha Ladouceur, one from Charlene Walberg and one from Christyne Richardson. The six of us then got to work over the next year and a half, chatting on-line and on the phone, traveling to CHA shows, emailing, kitting, etc., etc., etc. AND, with the help of hundreds of sponsors, including Two Peas in a Bucket, and many talented teachers from all over the world (yes, even Nic Howard flew in from New Zealand to teach!), on October 12-14, 2007, in six cities across Canada, we held Canada's Scrapbooking Crop For Kids or CSC4K. We raised almost $90 000 for the hospitals in those six cities. It was exhausting but AWESOME!

Through 2Peas I have met many wonderful and talented scrappers. Many with kind hearts and generous spirits. Many I have met at CHA shows but many I stay in touch through praising their work and admiring their galleries. There are a few that I chat with everyday about the everyday stuff - like the dreaded laundry the looms by my washing machine. I am thankful that Two Peas has introduced me to these friends.

Scrap on!
