So after my friend decided that she would go with a spa/dress-up theme for her daughter's birthday party we started discussing invitations.  So I decided to take the plunge and create a custom purse inviation to go along with the theme.  I wanted to use the artisan shape from the Accent Essentials cartridge to make it cohesive with the purse gift bag.  Once I determined the dimensions I needed, the rest was easy peesy!  It took me about 30 minutes from sketch to finished cut.

The Cricut Design Studio software made this project SO EASY.  I was able to view my images,  alter them as needed and cut it out correctly on the first try!  I would have NEVER been able to do this without my Expression & CDS software.  I've tried a similar project as this previously by hand.  Trust me, it was NOT easy.  I ended up wasting a lot of paper and getting frustrated with the trial-n-error to the point that I would need to move on to another project just to gain some perspective.  The Expression & CDS software also saved me precious crafting time.  That time savings is huge to me because I have very little time to craft with my family and work demands.  I'm very pleased with my first attempt using the CDS software and I hope my friend likes it.
