2) We pot luck dinner so I get to eat some really good meals each time we meet. It's the best dinner every time-we have very good cooks among us. I'm not one of them. It's a treat.

1 - Socialize with fellow scrappers.
2 - Get focused - I often get a lot done at crops because I don't think about other things I should be doing.
3 - Get inspiration from others. Looking around at what other do always gives me ideas.
4 - Me time. I do a monthly crop with a small group of friends, and try to make 1-2 larger crops a year.
5 - The food, whether it is potluck or catered in, it is always great,

I second (or third) every view I have read above.
My added reason: since leaving school I have studied & worked mainly with men. My husband is my best friend & scrapping supporter, but sometimes I just want to laugh with women. Regrettably, other than scrapping, I don't have much in common with my women friends. My "fault". Saturday I went to a crop/class where we did a whole lot of laughing & yapping with a little scrapping on the side. Perfect.
