In our old house I had a lovely spice rack inside my pantry door. My new house doesn't have that feature and my spices have since been a source of frustration when I am cooking. I have a ton of them and can never find what I want. I thought about transfering the spices to similar containers, but didn't want to spend money on the uniform containers or spend time transferring them.

I stumbled across these baskets at Big Lots the other day for $1.80 each. I alphabetized the spices and then put them in the baskets. I made a label for each basket so it is easy to see exactly what was inside. I also have our teas on the top shelf, along with the big containers that don't fit in the baskets.

I looked and looked then figured out the little tab thing is actually a handle! how clever I bet that makes it really easy to get those top shelves.

Whoa, that's some incredible organization. And for cheap! Love the handles.

Have you seen that spice rack gadget infomercial? I was tempted to get one of those, but then I thought it looked like it would only fit little spice bottles. Your solution is fantastic!

Love the containers with the handles! And I am in serious awe of your organization I love to organize, but my spices are always something that seems to elude me, in how I should organize them. I will tuck this idea away for later - thanks for sharing!!

Wow, you have a lot of spices!! My meager amount of spices is a testament to my limited cooking skills Your cabinet makes me want to venture into "real cooking". Great job!!

At Big Lots! I've been looking for exactly that type of container to use in my refrigerator to make it easier to organize things. I'll check out my Big Lots this weekend. Thanks, Nicole. Your pantry looks awesome!

Brilliant idea! Thank you for sharing!!

I've purchased baskets that are VERY similar at Wal-Mart. Here's a link to it.

Recently, I a friend shared a blog post with me about about someone who reorganized her fridge using them. Using her ideas as an example has made a world of difference in our produce usage!

Ooooo. I like this. The regular spice organizers require me to either change bottles or don't fit all the different sizes of things I have.

I love the fridge reorganization, too.
