Try "under a cherry tree".... Tons there. There's another that I'll go look up. Ok, hydrangea hippo by Jennifer Priest.

I have a few in my blog too, but it's new so not very many.

Their own blog rocks. You can link to it from their website and also to their photobucket site where users upload their own projects. Lots of inspiration there!

I would suggest "under a cherry tree" and "kerri bradford" as two sites to start and "svgcuts" for a 3rd.

I just ordered my cameo yesterday. Can't wait for it to come in. In the mean time I have a question? Does any one cardstock cut better with the cameo than another? I will just be making cards with the cameo.

Thanks,
Marilyn

I have found that smoother cardstock works the best, no matter the weight. I use a variety of cardstocks but for really intricate cuts I try to find a smooth cardstock to get the results I want. Also, there is a tendency to turn the blade up, but for intricate cuts I tend to dial it down and do several multi-cuts.

The main one recommended seems to be American Crafts CS. It's smooth and doesn't have a lot of ragg in the paper, which can flake off and get in the blade housing.

However, I do use a lot of Bazzil because I have a ton of it and have a local source. I just remove the flat cap on the end of the blade, blow out the housing around the blade, and keep going.

I just got my cameo and have been watching some youtube videos to learn how to do things. On one of videos I was to draw a circle using the oval plus shift. My problem is that once I get the circle and try to click some place else I get another oval. I have clicked inside the circle outside the circle. All I keep getting are more ovals. I also don't get the box around the circle. What am I doing wrong. I hope this makes sense.

You have to change the tool that you are using. Draw your circle or oval, and then click on the top left arrow tool. That's the move tool. Now you should be able to move any object you want.

There are some fantastic boards on Facebook!

The ones I go to are mostly for vinyl crafts - but you can learn a TON about using your machine and how to create files:

It is a closed group, but you are admitted pretty fast after asking to join: All Things Silhouette Cameo & SD

Back again with another problem. I am trying to print a word inside of a shape for a print and cut. I can get the word to print but not the shape.

Marilyn - silhoutte studio defaults shape lines to cut lines. You just need to turn them into print lines. Go to the line style window and with your shape selected click the box that says "print lines" or something...I can't remember exactly what it says, but that should remedy your problem!

What are the measurements to cut out a card base? I know on an 8.5x11 sheet of card stock it is 4.25x5.5. So you can get 2 cards. Just cant get this right on the silhouette. Help!
