Just got my Cameo today and love it. It sure does cut fine detail and the cuts look great. I cut out a Happy Birthday tag that had Happy Birthday welded onto the tag. A lot of open space. When cutting, is it supposed to be loud and make different sounds as it is going around the cut? I guess I am used to my Expression and I think the Cameo is a bit noisier. I might have noticed it more because it was very quiet in my house, too. Just wanted to check with someone to see if this was normal.

Mine is noisy also. I was on the phone with their tech support because I needed help calibrating my machine for print and cuts, and the girl I was talking to said they are that noisy when I asked her if she heard mine and was that normal.

It's normal. I have heard that if you have it on a surface that is hollow (Like a desk with a drawer under where you have it sitting) it may be noisier. Someone put a piece of Fun Foam under it and it helped, but they are a little noisy anyway, so it will never be completely quiet.

I am so glad this is normal. I did not want to have to send it back. I have it on a desk that does not have anything underneath it. I may try the Fun Foam to help relieve some of the noise.
