I got a friend's old silhouette really cheap. I like it a lot but really want the new, larger one. So I just ordered it today too!

I personally don't like any of the fonts offered in the Sil. library. There are a few word designs that I like the font used, but that font is not available.

I ordered mine last night but it won't ship until 1/16. I do have a Mac and I downloaded SCAL3. I have SCAL2 to use with my cricut.

I am in the process of adding stuff from the store to my wish list. I'm also curious about the extra software they offer.

adriansmom I have a mac as well. It worked fine with their old silhouette. I am sure it will be fine with the cameo.

I ordered my Cameo for my birthday next week.

I've never even looked at the Sil store and have been coveting one for a long time due to the fabulous www.kerribradford.com

I plan to spend my birthday money on her site... and hoping that a zillionith of her skill and talent transfers along with thos amazing images!

I wonder.....is there a way we can make a list of what all is in our library? So I could just post it and you could see what all I've bought?

Now, I've only had mine for a month, so I don't have NEAR the library that some do....but I've got a good little collection going on.

Make sure you get a subscription---it's totally worth it.

Jamie~ I have only used the fonts that were in the library when I got it, plus maybe 1 or 2 that I bought from their online store. I haven't tried downloading any from the WWW yet.

The thing I don't like about the ones already in the library is that there aren't very many available that weld together to connect them. I like for my letters to connect instead of all being individual. There needs to be more scripty fonts that would weld nicely.

I know I can find some online, but unless you know where to find it, it is very time consuming searching for fonts since there are thousands of them.

I just posted a thread asking for script fonts to cut on the Cameo and got lots of great suggestions. I'm sorry - I don't know how to link but it's on page 1 I think.

I use my Studio Software my my mac too.It works brilliantly. I also have The Sil Studio software on my Windows desktop. I prefer the Mac though...
As far as fonts and files I use what is on my computer or download what I need for particular projects so I don't have a particular favourite.

I am in the process of adding stuff from the store to my wish list. I'm also curious about the extra software they offer.

You said you already have SCAL3... in that case, don't bother with the Designer Edition software unless/until you have a problem with it. I'm no expert with SCAL3 (although I do have it), but after upgrading to the Designer Edition, from what I can tell, you don't need to spend the $$ if you already have SCAL3. However, I have heard rumours that eventually you won't be able to use SCAL with your Silhouette/Cameo. When and if that happens is when I would consider upgrading.

Hey Jaime!! Look at you hitting the big time hehe!

You are going to LOVE the Cameo! The cuts are soooo smooth and you can cut even the smallest details! It is also amazing at drawing, soooo smooth! I'm suprised you waited this long hehe!
I just did a blog post today on some of my fav journaling fonts for the Cameo. You can see them here... Chomas Creations

Can anyone tell me why my fonts won't show up in my Silhouette software? I am on a Mac and they are loaded into FontBook and appear in programs like Word, Pages, etc. - they just don't show up in my Silhouette. I have the SD, if that makes a difference.

ahiller, you may have to close the Studio program and restart it to get them to show.

Okay I've just been to Kevin and Amanda's font site and have a few new ones that I think will cut out great - Elise, three dates one night, wish I were taller, monster paparazzi, mixed your exit and too much paper.

also try tan patty, gilligans island
mr and mre popsicle and dreamed about you ( I think one these two match doodlebug letter fonts)
