When I purchased my Cameo, I also bought a 2nd mat. I've already had to break that one out and wanted to get a spare. The only ones I could find locally are for the Cricut Expression. Will those mats work for the Cameo as well? Just by looking at it, it looks like it would, but I don't want to open it until I know for sure.

Yes, I've used Cricut mats with my Cameo.

I have used them for years. Buy the 12x24 2 pk with a coupon and cut them down. I always save one of my Sil mats for reference though.

Thanks so much! The Cricut mats are cheaper and you get 2 at a time. I bought them but was waiting to hear whether or not they worked before opening them.

That is why I use them. I have posted about this for a few years. I hate giving PC my money but I can get the mats locally and super cheap with a coupon. Comes to around $2.50 a mat.

Plus I don't even like the new Sil mats. They are too sticky for my taste. Both the one that came with my Cameo and the extra one I bought.

I bought the sizzix eclips mat when I purchased my cameo. OMC had them for $5.99 for 2 and 20% off of that. Since they work in the cricut and the cricut mats work in the cameo I am going to try them out. If nothing else, I can use it with my cricut. Thanks everyone for all the tips posted on using the Cameo.

Thanks for asking this question.
My silhouette mat is so sticky I have gone thru about $20.00 in cardstock trying to release the designs.
Thanks again
