TINA hope the presentation blew their minds You are so busy, yet so organized. Where do you get all your energy? Can you send some my way? Wishes for your family members who are dealing with medical mysteries.

MONICA..no fair teasing, if you're going to mention a "boy" then please cough up the details, girl.

BARB 9 miles? I can't even walk 9 blocks. So proud of you.

THERESA why won't purple work? And is the mesh stuff like bathroom scrubbies? Try DollarTree if you have one in your neck of the woods

YES I GOT ALL 9 LOs done in one day...whew! Now I'm working on the the 6 for here, but not as enthusiastically for some reason. The challenges aren't as "fun" for me this time around, but perhaps when I start scrapping I'll get into it.

Spent the day volunteering at the middle school doing hearing tests on 7th graders...managed to do 180 today. Have about 160 left to do...when the nurse reschedules the second round. She cancelled tomorrow due to lack of volunteers. we need at least 4 all day from 8-2. The other folks were doing eye exams. The kids were sweet and it cracked me up that they would raise whatever hand on the side where they heard the sound, even though they were only told to raise their hand when they heard a sound. LOL

My son Owen managed to leave his headgear at his dad's...you'd think they'd check to see if they have all their stuff before driving here but no, and of course he wouldn't bring it so Owen has to wait til Tuesday's visit. That'll make him a week behind Noah on wearing his gear but what can a mother do?

Boys are forgetful at this age. Owen has 2 pair of shoes missing (might be at his dad's but his dad won't look) and Noah has misplaced a library book and his lunchbox...grrr.

Here are some of the LOs I hadn't already posted.

Pop Star Diva

Good morning!

For the USA Peas, I'm not going to tell you who to vote for, I want you to pray about that decision and then vote what you feel is best for the country, but I am going to tell you to get out there and VOTE!!!!

I did manage a 45 minute nap yesterday, long enough to help lift the fog in my brain.
Praying for God's will be done with our nation electing leaders today. I'm giving praise of thanks that my phone will stop ringing 987 times a day with election calls! Need to run some errands today- tonight we are taking our GS troop to the police station for a field trip.

Barbara- 9 miles- you rock girlfriend!! I'm hoping my foot heals enough I can get back to running 3 miles next year. That's good enough for me!

Debi- wow, impressed you did all those challenges!

Monica B- hope you are feeling better today.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning ladies,

I think I am praised up, but DEBI, one of your links is broken and I can't find the "Hippie" LO in your Gallery?

I still have a wicked headache and have decided it's because I didn't drink caffeine yesterday. I did no scrapping yesterday.

I hope everyone remembered/s to vote today. No matter where you stand on the issues/candidates, we are fortunate to be part of this process. I started looking back for pics of Julia on election night 4 years ago. WOW what a trip down memory lane. I have to find some pics for 2008 to post on FB.

THERESA -- sorry you didn't have materials you needed! That is one of life's biggest frustrations for me. It usually happens after a trip to the hardware store...I get home and find I have the wrong thing and have to go back. Grrrrrrrr.

TAMMY -- Have fun at the police station! I think that's a great idea for a trip for the girls.

TINA -- thinking of you!! Holding thumbs, crossing fingers...however you want to say it. I know you're gonna wow them!

Have a great day, all.

One more from me for day 6 of the CG Digi Challenge...anyone else want to scraplift a page from the gallery. Having an idea to start from really helps get that page done.

This one I used Shannon Roller's August in West Point LO...a simple grid design which I changed by making lots of smaller photos in place of the bigger ones.

Ok I fixed my link (having problems with the gallery saving my LOs, giving me a URL for them, but then not publishing them...I think it's just a glitch, hopefully one that won't stick around long as I can see my LOs but not everyone else....hmmmm.

Well interesting turn of events with the elections...Obama for another 4 years and in Washington State, marijuana and gay marriage passed. It's a changing world.

Good morning!

Wow, I didn't know you were voting yesterday. It's amazing how out of touch I've become without a TV. So Obama is still in? How do you all feel about it? It seems there were a lot of people disappointed that he didn't deliver all the changes he promised, or not to such a great extent. Though he did have a global economic meltdown to deal with...

Debi- Marijuana passed? Has it been legalised or just de-criminalised? We have had legal gay marriages here for a few years already but the drug thing is still a big debate. We have a huge problem here with crystal meth.

You girls have really been busy scrapping. Good going! Is it the cooler weather? I find I scrap more when it's cold.

Off to do some praising...

Ok Ladies, sorry I haven't been aroung the past week, I can see we are on page 2 which means I have lots to catch up on and hopefully praise.

Happy Movember. Not sure how many of you other Ladies are having to deal with this but Kevin is growing a mustache for Movember. He has done this the last couple years as well. Lets just say it makes me even happier to see December 1st, lol.

Jen Welocome to The Calendar girls thread, I hope you stick around. Everyone here is so freindly and encouraging, both with scrapbooking and the curve balls everyday life throws at us. I know I welcomed you before but I am hoping to see more posts from you as I get caught up.

Monica Sophia is just adorable. I miss the boys being htat age. NO I will not do it again, lol. I hope the dental surgeon gives you a little hope. I know your pain as I have 2 molars that desperately need to be pulled but we can't afford it.

Tammy I hope Becca is still feeling better!

Debi I hope you are feeling better.I found one blog hop for DSD but didn't get the chance to actually do any digi scrapping. I hope your Mom hasn't had anymore incedents with her motion lights being tampered with. I hope it was just a halloween prank.

Nylene I am so very happy to hear the good news about your husbands test results! I hope everything is going well with his surgery.

YAY!! BECKY!! I am so glad to see you posting again. Keep them coming!! I am looking forward to our our trip away, hope to get lots of LOs/cards done to post.

Barb Yes, Scrapper 61 is my friend Becky. we started scrap booking together when I was pregnant with my youngest. Kevin had been working alot and I guess hormones had gotten the better of me one night because I blew up at him about never being home to help look after Owen(oldest) LOL. The next week he came home with a gift certificate for me and Becky to take the Scarpbooking 101 class at the local store. We were both hooked!!

Michelle IT is cool here but no snow yet(phew) Though it could arrive any day now. We have had a few flurries but nothing that has stuck to the ground. That is a good thing because I still need to get he leaves rakes(oops, hee hee) A friend who lives an hour north of here DID have snow on the weekend that stayed for a bit. She can keep it there, lol. I think you are right. I believe it is the cooler weather that is getting us more scrap time. Too cold to do anything in the gardens now.

Melanie I am glad to see you are home and your Dad is doing well. I know what you mean about being away from hubby. Whenever Kevin goes away to a confrence things jus don't feel right at home. Even though I am used to him being away at night because of shift work

Tina, I hope your Mom is felling better, hopefully the Drs are wrong. My thoughts are with you and your family. Good luck with your presentaion!

Ok, I have read all chatter and TONS of tabs to work through and praise.
I have been working on a LO the past couple nights. Sorry, it's another BG POTM one from last year but hey, at least they are getting me scrapping again. Becky and I are going to have to get a few pictures of us scrapping together when we go away so I can do a LO about how we started scrapping. That should use up one of the girly pages. And I will do a LO about how I reconnected with my friend Michelle through this thread years ago. That will use up another of the girly LOs. Ok, now that I am motivated again, I am going to praise and get back to work on a LO about Owen and his huge accomplishment last year.

Sorry for the book and any spelling mistakes, lol. I am not rereading this one to check for errors, lol

NOthing like an election to bring on the nastiness on facebook. LOL. Going to stay away from it today.

Field trip was good last night. THe girls got a grand tour of the police dept. Their favorite part was watching the inmates on the closed circuit TV.

Debi- Although I am for legalization of marijuana (I think too much resources/time/money go into policing it)- I actually voted against the bill because it is so poorly written. I was hoping another would take it's place at the next election. I'm surprised that the marriage law is not passing by a landslide (it was at 52% when I checked this am).

Have a great hump day everyone!

Well we survived yesterday...legalizing Marijuana concerns me given I live right next to a large University and I just see the potential of misuse/abuse increasing even more now that there will be less restrictions/consequences for using it. Does allowing people to have up to 1 oz in possession mean they can be smoking it on the street and while driving etc? I just see more potential for DUI accidents/convictions increasing. How am I supposed to convince my 13 year olds to not drink, smoke or use drugs when they are legal options? It's a mixed message for sure. I know there is a year of creating rules/regulations around legalizing marijuana, but does that mean people will now be permitted legally to grow their own? I know there has always been the population who grew it/use it behind the scenes (illegally) but now more will feel permitted to try and experiment with it IMO. It seems to be counter-intuitive to try to reduce incidents/crimes/accidents related to alcohol/drug use only to make those substances more available and legal to partake in. Perhaps I should get a career in rehab services...ok I'm stepping down from my soapbox. NO need to respond.

Trying to decide if I want to do one last DSD challenge...creating and using tags...otherwise I did finish all the challenges I had hoped to.

'morning all,

Not a good night for us as Julia was vomiting all night long--and is still vomiting every hour or so even now.

I will be back later to check in, but wanted to comment that MICHELLE you made me that you didn't know it was US Election Day yesterday. I've been so full of angst over the whole thing...and it's nice to remember that there's a whole world out there that didn't notice it was happening. Puts it all in perspective.

Back later. TINA -- how did it go???

BARBARA sorry to hear Julia is sick, hope it passes quickly. Nothing scarier for a little one than to be throwing up...yucky for mom too.

So I decided I needed to do the last challenge for 2ps DSD; I combined it with my digichallenge day 7 using page7 LO 11 to scraplift...so here's my make and use a tag in your LO submission:

Hi all,

It has been a very quiet, very 'down' day here in our house. I am fortunate in that Stuart is working from home and he has been very helpful. I even took a nap when the girls did. But Julia is still feeling very poorly so we are doing as close to nothing as we can.

DEBI -- you are on fire, woman! Did you burn yourself out? If you're really out of pics, I can send you some of mine?? Without going into the politics, I want to try to assuage your fears: I live in a university town in a state that has legalized medical marijuana. No sign of increased use (it was already pretty high here in hippie-surfer mecca) and crime associated is not any different than before legalization. Some decrease in associated crime (minimal, though). Is WA's law medical only?

LORI -- waiting to see that/those LO. Your DH (Kevin, right?) sounds like a very sweet, very SMART MAN!! Stuart (my DH) is very supportive of my hobby/obsession but I'm not sure he would ever be proactive about finding me companionship in it. Nice work, Kevin!! I'm a little jealous of your up-coming scrappy trip!

THERESA -- did you get what you need for the wreath? You'll post pics, won't you? I'm dying to see it because a University-colored wreath sounds like something I have to try!!

I tried to follow Tammy's lead and stay off FB today, but I was unsuccessful. It seems that people feel very strongly one way or the other about the results of yesterday's election.

I say "E Pluribis Unum."

I did manage to grocery shop today, so off to make dinner!

Evening all!

Tammy, hear ya on the FB nasty comments over the election. Ridiculous.

As for the legalization of marijuana, since it's still against federal law I don't think you all have a lot to worry about. They'll keep it in the courts for years.

Randy found me some blue deco mesh, whoo hoo! I'll post of photo when I'm done. Actually am going to go work on it in a bit.

Austin made a profession of faith and is going to talk to his preacher about getting baptized. He's SO excited! And we owe it all (well at least at this time) to atheist talk in the county so God does have a plan.

Good morning!

Barbara- sorry, didn't mean to make you laugh about the election. I just feel so out of touch with the rest of the world at the moment. The only newspaper I read is the local community one and the headlines on lampposts I pass in traffic. It does make for a less stressful/ less angst-driven existence though. But I do feel a bit like an ostrich with it's head in the ground - if I don't see it it doesn't exist, lol.

Sorry to hear Julia was so sick. Is she better now? Vomiting is such an awkward illness to deal with. Lots of washing!

Debi - no wonder you feel a bit drained of scrappy inspiration. You've really been busy! I'll send photos too if you need some... The marijuana issue would worry me too if it was complete legaisation. Makes it that much more difficult to put boundries there for your kids. Blurs the lines a bit. What is your legal drinking limit? Will it be the same for marijuana? Our drinking limit is 18 but drugs are illegal (even medicinal marijuana).

I'm struggling with Sean at the moment. He just does NOT want to do any homework. There is a bit less at the moment as exams start next Friday, but he has a few projects he could be finishing so long. He seems to think last minute panic is fine. It has been a long year and we only have a month to go before our school year ends, but now is the time he really needs to put in the last bit of effort. He just couldn't care less.

Lori - how amazing that your DH got you two hooked on scrapping! Mine just moans about the time it takes, though he does appreciate the final product. Heinrich has tried buying me supplies as a surprise, but his choice of pp is never what I would choose myself. I'm trying to persuade him to look at my 2peas wishlist for Christmas.

Becky - welcome back! Hope to see you around a lot.

My Dad an I are doing something a bit strange on Saturday morning. We are going on a tour of the underground rivers under the old part of Cape Town. The first settlement here was because of the fresh water, but over time the rivers have all been moved underground. So we are playing at being moles and doing the tour. Wellingtons and headlamps, etc. I need to get him out and doing stuff and this sounded like fun. The story should be a good one to tell anyway

Well the marijuana legalization will be in the courts forever I'm sure, especially since it is against federal law, but it is for recreational use not medicinal. Legal drinking and doping age will remain 21. Theoretically you can legally possess up to 1 oz of marijuana, but you can't buy it legally yet, and you're not allowed to grow it, and you aren't supposed to use it publicly...lots to work out huh?

MICHELLE I feel your pain with the end of the school year balking at homework...my boys did that last spring and their grades dropped dramatically. I had to push really hard to get them to make up missing papers, and finish projects to get them through the year. They fought me every turn, hated me for it, but did do it. I think they just get burned out by then and when you need to make that final push, their push is all gone. Trying really hard to keep the boys on task, caught up with their assignments, but they still like to put things off to the last minute and do it in panic/late night mode. I guess I shouldn't be surprised because that was my MO all through college and grad school. I never was good at pacing and it was hard to stay interested in a project if I had to do it over a long period of time. I preferred doing more in a short period. I managed, so I suppose they will too. Problem is my boys don't see the need to strive for "good grades" like I did. Not sure how to turn that around. Maybe if you set up short study times and then rewards with a nice dessert, or movie time, or time with you doing something together like baking cookies for his making progress on homework, you can encourage him without nagging. Me, I nag.

I've been putting off trying to recover the hard disk that crashed a couple years ago with 11 years of photos and about 100 LOs on it and a ton of digital supplies, because I'm afraid they are going to tell me it's not recoverable, and if I don't take it in, I can still believe I will be able to get those photos back. Kind of like not going to the doctor when you know there might be something wrong because it's easier to live in denial. Besides, it will cost a lot and although my photos are precious to me, I don't have any discretionary income. That is why I don't have many photos to scrap in case you were wondering.

Well I need to throw the white clothes in the dryer so the boys will have underclothes and socks tomorrow, and then I'm off to bed. Studied Japanese for a couple hours tonight while watching the sitcoms on tv. The boys did their Japanese Kanji test studying and then played on their new XBOX game (I bought it early so they could play online with their friends but it is a Christmas present). So it's been rather quiet here tonight. I DID NOT scrap tonight...surprise! I don't think I washed the dishes yet either, but they can wait til the morning.

Hope Julia is better and everyone caught up on their rest.

wow no one has checked in yet? Where is everyone?

Kids are off to school, I had breakfast (tried some gluten-free pancakes and so far, not bad...tasted ok and no bad side-effects yet). Nice to know I can have pancakes once in awhile with the kids. They do tend to soak in the syrup like a sponge, but otherwise not bad.

Laundry done. Sun is out--looks like I should do some leaf blowing today since I need to put out yard waste tonight for tomorrow's pick up. Don't place bets on how much I get done though because often I'm more talk than action....LOL

maybe I'll scrap a page before starting my chores. hee hee

good morning,

J is all better, though still low energy since she hasn't eaten much and still claims she's not hungry (she's not a big eater on a good day).

DEBI -- sending you peaMail about hard drive.

MICHELLE -- I was *glad* you made me laugh. I needed to laugh about it. While it is important, it's not worth the level of angst I let build up. Happens every time, though.

Where is everyone? Busy? Bored? Getting ready for Holidays??

I'm praised up .

I've been doing 30 Days of Thankful (those of you on FB might remember! ) and I like spending time thinking about it each day. It keeps me in a good mood, regardless of the day is going. Sometimes I let silly things bother me...hey! I have an idea...

Have any of you heard of a website called first-world-problems.com?? It's a blog where people submit things that bother them but are clearly insignificant problems in the context of the whole world. Things like "My gummy vitamins melted when I left them in my BMW on a hot day." Just the idea of someone gathering all the things we (residents of industrialized societies) complain about is pretty funny to me. And believe me, I'm a huge "first-world-problem" offender.

****I know it's the time of year when we focus on being thankful (in the US, at least) but just for today...tell us your first world problem!!***

Here's mine: It frustrates me that I'm always so tired from taking care of my two active children and training for a half marathon that I never have the energy to scrap in my scraproom!

OK, now I want to hear your first world problem!

~ Barbara

p.s. just for balance, here's the Thankful thought, posted on FB today:
Nov 8th 2012: I am Thankful for all of the people who bless my daugthers' lives. There's a long list of these people but today I am thinking specifically of Maria T Candelaria, Todd A Candelaria, Tonya Alves Richardson, and Ben Richardson (who, apparently is not on F. Two of the strongest, most loving women I know and the men smart enough to marry them!! Love you all. [These are my girls' god parents.]

My irrelevant insignificant complaint is...I hate taking the garbage out to the bins and then the bins to the curb for pickup. How silly is that? I am grateful we have garbage, recycle and yardwaste pickup.

Here's my CalendarGirls Nov digi challenge (Gallery Scraplift-pg8LO11) for today.

Hello all! The weather here is turning cold, I should know the wonderful mid 80 degree temps wouldn't last long, especially since it was warm for this time of year. The wind is blowing and the clouds are rolling in. We are suppose to make it to 80 today and then tomorrow will be 64 and the rest of the weekend in the 50's. Anyways this is just a quick run by to say hello and post, don't fall off your chair now, a layout. I finally got a page done. Not for a challenge but at least it's a start.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Here is a card I made last weekend for a b-day party. Angry Birds Birthday

And for those who asked about Alison's Cat Island here it is Cat Island

Gotta run, be back later to catch up on the chat.

hey girls -

sorry MIA, just been busy and not real chatty. Lots of testing these days at school...it was really nice to have this past Tuesday off though. Although it messed me up going to school yesterday...I really
didn't realize what day it was, LOL.

Sending out lots of hugs and prayers for everyone. I didn't read everything but I see some sickness, and some family members having problems, so sending health and happiness across the board.

I sure wish I could get past this blahness, but can't seem to shake it these days. I'm sure change is coming, just don't know when...

Hope you all are doing well, and having a wonderful day.

I've adjusted to the bright look of 2peas but only if I zoom the page in so I can read the small print and eliminate the white on the sides...I can see the light turquoise links when I do that, but honestly I still find it nearly impossible to read the light gray text in emails of praise left. Don't they get that many of us are older and we need more contrast to be able to read....geesh. I do what I can to make it work.

VALERIE don't you just love those school projects? I like them when they are done, not so much mid-process.

TONI sorry you are feeling down...miss you around here. You are always so busy I can't imagine you ever get time to recharge your batteries.

Spending time organizing my digi supplies...my that is a tedious task. But maybe i'll use more of the products if I can find what I have. Same problem in paper products I'm sure.

Have a nice night. Stay warm. Expected to freeze here tonight.

Morning all. Supposed to get back up to the 70's today. Totally killing my sinuses. Working in Madisonville today, we're full too so it'll be hopping probably should wear roller skates. Since we only travel there every other week and the next date is the Friday after Thanksgiving we're having to double up on patients. I keep telling everyone that we're closed that Friday because it's my birthday and therefore a national holiday, LOL! Anyway, we'll sure pay for it today.

Debi, even changing the colors on the screen I still have problems but it doesn't look like 2P's people care. The message board isn't nearly as busy as it used to be all over the site and they still haven't changed it.

Best hit the shower and get ready, have a great Friday!!!!!!

Good morning!
Sorry I haven't been around much. Been battling a nasty cold for over a week now, and still have not gotten rid of it. It has really kicked my behind! Been taking it easy.

I have a consultation with an oral surgeon this morning. Wish me luck! And especially that it won't cost an arm & leg

I'll come back to catch up later!

My appointment went great! The cost is WAY lower than I anticipated & what they quoted over the phone. I'm pretty sure they gave me a steep discount for being uninsured. They didn't even charge the consultation fee she said because I'm uninsured! The surgery is scheduled for December 5, which is perfect - after Thanksgiving but enough time to recover before Christmas.

I'm feeling very blessed today

good morning! Need to throw some things together today- I'm going for a girls weekend at a friends. bringing my laptop to work on my digi album. my product credit expires on 11/19 so I need to get it done! I've done 6/20 this week, so I'm hopeful!

I am really disappointed in 2peas that they totally disregarded the feedback of people. I know pop on to our thread only, and then leave. I used to read other threads on GS and NSBR during down time, but I spend that time elsewhere now. Too hard to read.

Monica- good luck at the doctor! Hope they can make it work for you. I hear ya on the cold, I 've had a cough all week. Now Becca is sick. Tis the season.

Toni- sending you hugs girl. It's hard when the black cloud is hanging over your head. hope it leaves soon.

Barbara- my first world problem: I'm tired of cooking dinner every day. It's the same problem, what to have that they'll like, and stopping to make it. I know, first world- so much food that we have decisions to make, heat and resources to cook it, plethora of nutritious and good quality food that we have money to buy. And yet I dread it every day like no one's business.

Michelle- I think last minute panic is completely testosterone related. Been there done that and I'm sure I'll be there again with two more boys to raise.

OK, think I'm praised up too. Even in the green, it's hard to see the links.

Praised up.

Cold this morning but actually rather refreshing. My allergies aren't killing me today, so that's good..probably frozen.

Never made it out to do the yardwork....are you surprised? I'm not. LOL
I'll blame it on it got dark too fast.

Breakfast is done, mail is sent, kitchen is clean...so now what?

All praised up, everyone is doing some really great layouts.
I am currently working on completing a 12x12 calendar (actually 4 of them) before Christmas. Love creating the first LO but repeating it another 3 times is getting to be no fun at all.

How does everyone balance their lives and find time to be creative?? by the end of the day I find that I have no creativity left. I am finding that looking at everyones posts is helping...but does anyone have any suggestions.

BECKY I take it by your comments that you are a paper scrapper, thus why repeating LOs for the calendars is seeming tedious. I do so like that I can print my digi projects as many times as I want and in different sizes without having to recreate them. It is a plus to digi scrapping. But how cool those calendars will be when you finish. Can't wait to see them.

As for inspiration, I find that whenever I don't have mojo, I can always either do a challenge or find a sketch or go to the gallery or my bookmarks and scraplift a LO. This month I challenged (the CG digi challenge) people to go to a designated page (determined by the date of the day)of the gallery (any gallery-scrapbooking, digital, cards, bookmarks) and scraplift (take anything from the page all the way to copying it completely) the 11th LO. If I don't have to think about what my page is going to look like per se, I can start there and make it my own with papers, colors, embellishments, journaling and photos. It gets me started and since I already have a design (and sometimes my starting design is very different than what I might do myself) to work from, it's more the fun of making it my own. So come join me. Digichallenge is NOT just for digi scrappers...paper scrappers are more than welcome to participate.

Anyone know how to change/delete things listed from the Recent Watchlist posted on the left hand side of the page? My list is several years old...LOL

Kids started fighting with each other while they played on the XBOX so I made them get off, read for 1/2 hour to calm down, then fold socks to earn the right to play again. Mean mom aren't I? But at least we got the socks folded. LOL

This getting dark at 4:30 p.m. makes the night seem to drag on and on. Maybe the boys and I will watch a movie later or play a board game. We'll see.

Have a good night. I'm listening to japanese tapes but even that is getting tiring right now. Think I'll go put some enchiladas in the oven for dinner. Boy wish I had a cold beer or a margarita to go with that. Sounds good surprisingly from a woman who maybe drinks an alcoholic drink once a year.

Have a good night, and let's see some scrapping.

Worn out!!!! Will be getting help the next time I go to Madisonville, seems the manager of the clinic there tried to get me some today but my manager didn't get back to her in time. She came by today, saw how busy we were and how far behind and promised that the next time we're there she'll have me a tech to help. That won't be until December, going to send her a note the end of Nov to remind her.

Debi, congrats you won one of the challenges for DSD, should have a gift certificate from 2P's coming your way.

Becky, my creativity comes in spurts. Right now I really should be getting stuff together for my crop tomorrow but even after a nap I'm so tired I can't even think of what I need to take to share with the group much less what I want to make myself.

Hi Sweet Peas!!!

Whew...I am so glad this week is over, it was a crazy one! I have happy news...I got the job that I'd been interviewing for...yay! I gave notice this week, my last day will be Dec. 21st, I've been there for 17 years, so it's really hard to leave. There are only a couple of people at work who know that I'm going, I can't announce it yet because I have to coordinate it with them. Our two agencies are so close together geographically that the news will travel really fast from one place to the other, so we have to coordinate it. They also will run it in the press, so that will be weird. I had to email someone to do a head shot for me this weekend. I feel so ridiculously blessed, I'm excited about the new gig.

My Mom had 2 more doc appointments this week, they are doing more tests next week, we don't really know any more yet.

I plan to do some scrapping with the girls tomorrow, Olivia is home visiting from college this weekend and wants to do crafts, so we'll have some fun.

Have a nice evening ladies!

Congrats Tina! Wow, leaving after 17 years, that'll be tough I'm sure. How exciting though.

WOW you go girl...CONGRATS TINA...that's amazing, but so are you.

I won something? I'll have to go check. That's cool.

THERESA sounds like you have to work understaffed a lot. that's not fun.

I did one more LO today.

Good morning CGs!

CONGRATULATIONS, TINA! I'm really not surprised though You are far too smart, talented, compassionate and creative not to have gotten it. I wish you lots of luck in the transitioning.

Becky - So good to see you. Right now I'm going through a period of blah-ness, but usually I don't have too much difficulty trying to find some time for creativity. Sketches and challenges are usually what get me motivated.

Theresa - Believe me, I know what you mean about being understaffed...we have it at both jobs here

Monica B - Yeah for you and the oral surgeon. Good luck with it all. I've got to tell you, too, they put out the Fact and Fiction paper (we got more Fact than Fiction) and it's all gone...I never even got to look at it According to my boss (one of them anyway) there was at least 10 packs of the Fact, and a little more than a few
of the Fiction - went in one day We got a boatload of stuff in Thursday so she's looking as she's going to let me know if we got more in...but yesterday and today are the only days we get the 30% off our purchase...so she'll find it when the sale is off, I'm sure. We get that extra 10% off a couple of times a year, and it's always when I don't have anye extra money, LOL...not funny, really though. Oh, well.
It's not a necessity, so it's all ok.

Tammy - I'm with you on the dinner. That was one of the hardest things because everyone always liked something more than others, and then you get tired of making the same stuff, and then had to be careful with what new stuff you tried Sometimes when I would think of something to make for the next day, when it came down to it, I wouldn't even want to make it that day and that really was awful because then I would have to force myself to do it. Sooooo glad I don't have to do that anymore, LOL. I made turkey chilli last week, and I think the last time I cooked before that was, oh, I don't know, maybe two, three weeks before that, LOL...needless to say, I'm not upset about it at all

Debi - Congrats on the 2Ps win! That will surely put a smile on your face

Barb - I always love reading your posts Your girls must be growing by leaps and bounds. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

Nylene -

Diana - sending you some too.

Well, I know there is lots more, but it's an 8:00 shift today, after getting home at 11 last night...ugh...this really takes the joy out of the Christmas season.

Have a super day, girls.

First Congratulations Tina!!!! I am very happy for you.

Becky we could get together and scrap that might help us find some creativity.

I have 2 LOs to take pictures of and post. Things have been pretty busy around here this week and they look that way next week too.

Theresa, when do we get to see a picture of that wreath??

Monica, I am glad your consult with the dentis went well. It is always nice when things turn out not to cost as much as we expect.

Toni - it's great to see you pop in. I miss your LOs.

Well I am caught up on chatter and am about to go praise all these open windows. I am hoping to get time to scrap this afternoon, we'll see.
